Hi,

In fact, we are only at the MODE READER stage here, and not POST.
But the question still remains with the two "users" and "users-ssl"
blocks in readers.conf since I have:

21:58 news at trigofacile ~% telnet localhost 1190
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain.
Escape character is '^]'.
200 test-INN-2.4.4 InterNetNews server INN 2.4.4 (20080406 prerelease) ready
mode reader
201 test-INN-2.4.4 InterNetNews NNRP server INN 2.4.4 (20080406 prerelease) ready (no posting).
post
440 Posting not allowed
authinfo user julien
381 PASS required
authinfo pass elie
281 Ok
post
340 Ok, recommended ID <ftgkcs$2gm$1 at news.trigofacile.com>

so it would still works with a 201 reply to the MODE READER command.
Should it be checked by inews? (and possibly other programs)
