Problems moving newsserver from 32bit to 64bit

Hello,

I'm currently trying to move my inn (2.4.3) from an 32bit system to an
64bit system (both Debian Etch) and I'm running into a lot of trouble.
I'm using cnfs with tradindexed. I just copied over all the data
(cnfs/overview/history) and tried to start innd. That failed with:

Jul 9 19:25:01 alita innd: SERVER can't open history /var/lib/news/history: Numerical argument out of domain

I then tried to rebuild the dbz files with

makedbz -s `wc -l < history` -f history

that worked, but inn still refused to start. The new error was:

Jul 9 19:53:30 alita innd: tradindexed: index loop for entry 0: Address already in use
Jul 9 19:53:30 alita innd: tradindexed: refusing to add a loop for 1 in bucket 15650
Jul 9 19:53:30 alita innd: tradindexed: index loop for entry 0: Address already in use

I then tried to rebuild overview and history with:

makehistory -b -f history.n -O -l 30000 -I

This immediately failed with the following error:

makehistory: tradindexed: index loop for entry 0
Segmentation fault

My kernel logged the following error:

[13896.201290] makehistory[29442]: segfault at 7f0dbbaa3868 ip 4230b4
sp 7fffc37f9200 error 4 in makehistory[400000+3e000]

Any ideas how I can restore my data? I really don't want to begin with
a new spool...

Thanks,

Sebastian
