That sure sounds like the script involved in this error message.

I haven't notice any problems with innwatch, 
tally.control or any other scripts.  So far it 
has been during news.daily (also during 
news.daily notdaily) and the sendinpaths 
script.  In both cases the scripts do not abort 
and don't seem to cause any real problems from what I can tell.

The above docheckgroups did not produce an error.

Scanlogs norotate did not give an error message either.
