Hi all,

NNRP readership statistics:
System Conn Arts Size Groups Post Rej Elapsed
xxx 17 87 149.1 KB -4 1 0 00:45:00

"Groups" means the number of groups opened when at least one article was
retrieved during a session.

For instance:

Mar 13 11:24:09 news nnrpd[28454]: xxx group fr.comp.developpement.agl.windev 0
Mar 13 11:24:14 news nnrpd[28454]: xxx group fr.comp.divers 0
Mar 13 11:24:14 news nnrpd[28454]: xxx group fr.comp.os.mac-os.classiques 0
Mar 13 11:27:02 news nnrpd[28454]: xxx group fr.rec.arts.musique.classique 3
Mar 13 11:27:02 news nnrpd[28454]: xxx exit articles 3 groups 4

Mar 13 11:43:23 news nnrpd[28585]: xxx group fr.rec.arts.musique.classique 58
Mar 13 11:48:23 news nnrpd[28585]: xxx group fr.rec.arts.musique.classique 0
Mar 13 11:55:30 news nnrpd[28585]: xxx group fr.rec.arts.musique.classique 0
Mar 13 11:55:30 news nnrpd[28585]: xxx exit articles 58 groups 3

Mar 13 12:37:02 news nnrpd[316]: xxx group fr.rec.arts.musique.classique 0

4 groups logged for the first session. 3 groups logged for the second session
(though it was the same!) and no group logged for the third session.

I think something is broken here.
What should we log? The number of groups opened or the number of groups
opened with at least an article?
That is to say 8 or 2 for the above example?

Yeah, there was "-4" and that's why I looked at it.
It would have been 7 with the current count (4+3) but there were 11 "bad_auth"
so the count was decreased for "Groups"... I do not see why "Groups" should
decrease because of that, so I will remove that behaviour.
Anyway, should we log 8 or 2?

I think 2 would be the best, and it is what I will do unless someone speaks
up about that subject.
