Well, it's an invalid message ID (it's lacking an @-sign and a domain).
That's invalid in both netnews and email, so technically this is
Atlassian's problem, although email doesn't care about message IDs very
much and this is a UUID so it's probably unique, so it's unlikely to cause
many practical problems in email.

I think you can strip message IDs with mailpost, which would force nnrpd
to assign a new one, but that will break the References header so the
workaround is probably worse than rejecting a few articles occasionally.
