I installed innd 2.3.2 on my linux 2.4.3 box. I used ctlinnd to create a new group, and that group show up in my active file. My readers.conf is configured to allow access to all newsgroups for all local connections, but when I telnet to the port, LIST ACTIVE shows no groups, and the GROUP command for the new group says "No such group". I did a "cat ~news/db/active" and copy/pasted the group name string to the telnet session to be certain that I spelled it right, etc. (though the LIST ACTIVE failing was proof enough). What might I have missed? This is a very basic installation. I have not set up anything special for outside feeds or anything. It is set up only for local news reading (no feeds) while I test out the setup. -- "There is no parameter that makes it impossible Jack McKinney for you to perform still more excellently." jackmc@lorentz.com -Mario Cuomo, on the lack of a clock in baseball http://www.lorentz.com 1024D/D68F2C07 4096g/38AEF076 Cubs magic number is 42 -- Attached file included as plaintext by Listar -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAjt6/AIACgkQimeon9aPLAeRPQCgyOMu/LO1UUrWVNfqGTrOJJXv 2hgAmQH+pbHsQIWdEGYcrZKMNFISfUKQ =IH1K -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
