Hi folks,
TL;DR IRRToolset's VCS has a new home now:
https://github.com/irrtoolset/irrtoolset
Please submit your pull requests :)
The long story is that I recently got asked about a couple of patches I
wrote back in 2008 or so and I was saddened to see them still unmerged,
and one of them having been rebased twice (once in 2010, and once in
2013). A git import later and a chat with Nick, and we have IRRToolset
in GitHub now, accepting PRs.
I'm not a user of IRRToolset anymore and I certainly wouldn't recommend
it to anyone new. However, it is my impression that various people in
this list have accumulated patches and in some cases, everyone has been
reinventing their own wheel (e.g. 4-byte ASN support for JunOS).
So, let's collect all of these, preferrably as GitHub pull requests,
review & merge them so that anyone can benefit. Even though I'm not a
user anymore, I can commit a few hours of my volunteer time for code
review and we can aim to release a 5.0.2 as soon as we collect a few of
the important ones.
Best,
Faidon
