<div>Note I already had some troubles on a Linux box with dnsmasq and</div>
<div>another DHCP agent running together. BTW the problem is not dnsmasq</div>
<div>but the Linux kernel which has its own and very broken way to</div>
<div>implement SOREUSEADDR so there is no good solution (other than</div>
<div>to change the port but if it is possible in a lab this option</div>

<div>PS: on both BSD and Linux if there is a conflict an error is raised.</div>
<div>When you set SOREUSEADDR BSD tries to solve the conflict and still</div>
<div>raises an error if it is not possible (for instance same address,</div>
<div>protocol and port), Linux just no longer checks for the conflict</div>
<div>and one of the two applications will get all the traffic.</div>
<div>BSD has SOREUSEPORT too which duplicates multicast traffic.</div>
