We had to increase our anti spam robot operations on gitlab because we were inundated with people e.g. posting long videos, backlinks and other trash in dormant branches and in their profiles. It is literally getting hard to find the real users amidst all the abuse accounts, which is why the system looks for an issue report within 24 hours. Most real users seem to first create their accounts in order to report an issue. You can of course, have read-only access to browse the gitlab without an account. </div><div><br></div><div>Gitlab will email you once your account is reactivated.</div><div><br></div><div>Apologies!</div><div><br></div><div>Vicky</div><div><br><div><br><blockquote type="cite"><div>On Jul 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM, Jonas Alfredsson via Kea-users <kea-users@lists.isc.org> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">If you do not administer user accounts on the <span><a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer nofollow noopener" href="http://gitlab.isc.org/">gitlab.isc.org</a></span> site you can stop </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">reading now, and I apologize for the noise.<br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">---<br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Hi Kea developer/GitLab admin,</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">I had/have an account on the <span><a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer nofollow noopener" href="http://gitlab.isc.org/">gitlab.isc.org</a></span> site, but it appears to have been</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">deactivated and I am unable to reactivate it through login, and when trying </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">"reset password" I don't get any reset email sent to my address (perhaps</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">protonmail is blocked?).</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">I also tried authenticating via the <span><a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer nofollow noopener" href="http://gitlab.com/">gitlab.com</a> option</span>, but this only results in </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">422 - email already in use. <br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Would it be possible to either reactivate my current account, or perhaps</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">delete it so it is possible to use the GitLab login method?<br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">At the front page it was recommended that a small introduction is made, so I </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">suppose I am going to lead with that I am the creator of <br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><span><a target="_blank" rel="noreferrer nofollow noopener" href="https://github.com/JonasAlfredsson/docker-kea">https://github.com/JonasAlfredsson/docker-kea</a></span>.<br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">I am a Swedish DevOps engineer that like to spend some of my free time </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">tinkering with computers at home as well, and the above mentioned project </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">is from me experimenting with a high availability DHCP at home (yes, it is </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">overkill, but that is how you learn :) )<br></div><br><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">I have not produced any bug reports for the Kea project, but the reason <br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">for wanting an account is that I want to keep up to date with what is </div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">happening and perhaps provide feedback in case something is not working</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">with my Docker images/builds.</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">If you have any more questions or thought you are more than welcome to <br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">reach out to me directly.</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Best regards,</div><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Jonas<br></div>
