installing openreg on a remote server

Hello,
I'm trying to install OpenReg on a remote server over SSH.
I'm having a problem running configure:
$ /bin/sh configure --prefix=/opt/openreg
checking build system type... i386-unknown-freebsd6.2
checking host system type... i386-unknown-freebsd6.2
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking for perl5... /usr/bin/perl5
checking for rndc... /usr/local/sbin/rndc
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating mk/rules
$

Somehow the script just "exits" at that point.
Does anyone know what could be the reason?
