=> the ISC DHCP server has the same feature (because it is in the common
I/O code) than the -l4/-l6 of dhccra, so the fallback socket can be
bound to according to lsof:

dhcpd 24825 root 7u IPv4 166101 \
      0t0 UDP 172.28.0.1:67

=> the relay provides a service on one interface (in fact a set of
interface but the CRA is limited to one by the spec: there is no way
to know to what interface a response has to be forwarded).

=> IMHO it becomes critical to reduce the ISC DHCP footprint.
I'll send a message about this as it is not technical only.

=> it has a 1:1 resonating orbit with you (:-).

=> yes, I'll need it once to verify the DHCPv4 service on ida is
correct.

Thanks

PS: if you assist to the (still not in the agenda) conf call this night
(for me, I am 8 hours in front) you can explain how to pronounce cruithne
