facility so is not usable for this usage.

PS: the thing I can propose because I know it works is a VMware
Workstation (including using a trial 30 day license, Alistair
should have such a key) over Linux (or Windows but I don't know it)
on a hardware with enough memory (> 4GB) and a CPU with VT support
(i.e., at least Core 2).
