It was not aftr I was measuring, but basically the encapsulation and
forwarding speed of a 680 Mhz router with a 16 bit memory bus lacking
as  yet optimizations and analysis as to the sources of the slowdown,
using the most modern linux kernel available.

Previous benchmarks showed native ipsec performance in the 25Mbit range.
