Kevin,

Thank you for the reply last evening. I have a small TESTBENCH, which is an air-gapped network, for testing Kea with Stork. My environment is comprised and configured with:

  1.  A single router (6.6.6.1)
     *   wired ports (x4)
     * wireless availablility (disabled at this time)
  2.  A single server (6.6.6.2)
     *   Ubuntu Server 20.04.4 LTS
     *   Kea running
        *   dhcp4
        *   ddns
     *   A Postgresql db instance
        *   dhcpdb
        *   ddnsdb
        *   stork
     *   Stork server running
  3.  A single listener/satellite (6.6.6.3)
     *   Ubuntu Server 20.04.4 LTS
     *   Kea listener running
     *   Stork agent running

I have registered the two IPv4 addrs with Stork, and even registered the localhost IP (127.0.0.1) with the Stork server. From what I can tell in the documentation, this setup is sufficient to provide a reasonable test. However, as I noted in the beginning of this chain, the Services==>Machines shows the registered IPs are throwing the "Cannot get state of machine" error.

I do not see a log which might disclose an error from an agent or from the server. Any pointers will be helpful.

Thanks,
John

You only need to locate agents on machines where you are running
services that Stork will be monitoring (Kea and/or BIND). If you are
running either or both of those services on the same machine as the
Stork server, then yes, an agent would be required on that machine
too. You'll need to check the Stork docs to be sure that the server
and agents don't try to use the same port numbers.
