[stork-users] DHCP Lease Search

For completeness on the list I am summarizing the outcome of my situation.
After a conversation offline with Slawek, he identified that you can't search by MAC address for DHCP v6 leases. This is a limitation on the Kea side and not a Stork limitation. However, the Stork context help documentation does not indicate searching by MAC address is only applicable for v4 leases. Slawek opened a bug to get the Stork documentation corrected. https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/stork/-/issues/1150
Thanks again for your help Slawek.

Slawek,
Yes, I followed the exact steps you outlined.
Step 5 on your list - this results in my previously mentioned response of "no leases found"
Does this mailing list support image attachments? I can send some screeenshots or just mail them directly to you.

Hello Justin!
Are you sure you have a lease for a given MAC address? I have now checked the lease search in our test environment, and it seems it works appropriately.
Please, make this test:
1. Search for a lease by IP
2. Check if there is a visible box titled "Client"
3. Check if the "MAC address" field inside the box has an expected value.
4. Copy this value (MAC address) to the search box and press Enter.
5. Check if the lease is found
I'm waiting for your feedback.
Regards
Slawek

I have a Kea DHCPv6 server running (no v4). It hands out NA and PD. No problems here.
I have the Stork agent running on the Kea server. No problems.
I have the Stork server running on a separate server. No problems.
Stork server version: 1.12.0.230802125039
The problem I am seeing is in the Stork server when I do a DHCP lease search.
Searching on the IPv6 NA it gives the results as expected
Searching on the IPv6 PD it gives the results as expected
Searching on the DUID it gives the results as expected (showing both NA and PD leases)
Searching on the MAC address gives: No results found matching <mac-address>.
I've tried all kinds of various MAC address formatting, including all three specified as supported in the "Help for leases search" context help.
Am I missing something or is this just a bug?
Thanks!!
