gethostbyname problem

I have installed tcpwrappers 7.6 on Solaris 2.6 on a Sparc 20. When I
try and telnet into this machine from an allowed host it logs the
following:

Dec 14 10:17:55 <tcpdhost> in.telnetd[21917]: warning: can't verify
hostname: gethostbyname(wrong-host.domain.com) failed

Dec 14 10:17:55 <tcpdhost> in.telnetd[21917]: refused connect from
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Now the problem is that the ip associated with this host is correct
but the name is not, hence the "wrong-host" entry. When I do nslookup
on the right host it shows the same ip address. My dns tables are
correct and all references to the wrong-host have been removed some
time ago. nslookup on the primary and slave dns servers show the
correct name-to-ip. But on this particular host the reverse (?)
lookups for the hostname are pulling an old mapping. And it's only
for the tcpd lookups, nslookup from the OS shows the correct host as
well.

Need help.

Thanks.

~JK
