chroot with bind-8.2.2-P5

Hi all

I'm trying to configure bind-8.2.2-P5 to do a chroot (with the
'-t' switch).

I've managed to make 'named' work fine, however, 'named-xfer' doesn't
work.   Whenever it's called, it just exits with return code 11 :

      "named-xfer "107.136.193.in-addr.arpa" exited with signal 11"

I've created /dev/null on the area.

The system is a BSDI 3.1.

Has anybody made such configuration work ?
What resources does 'named-xfer' need ?
