Also, understand that cname means Cononical name, which is the
exact host name in the DNS tree, or your machine name.

I reccommend a book called "DNS and Bind" It is an O'reilly
publication (the books that are white with the animals on them)

It gives a great set of definitions for the different types of
records and their places, as well as many key pointer and tips.
