Resolv.conf problems...

Are you using Linux (or the standard linux pppd on another OS)?  If so
sounds like the usepeerdns option is set, unset it.  If you are using
RedHat and use their tools to setup ppp edit
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0 and set PEERDNS="no".
