Some other record (presumably the MX record for istabip.org.tr) pointed
to the name "mail.planet.net.tr.istabip.org.tr", which could not be
resolved. Most likely the effect of forgetting to dot-terminate a
reference to "mail.planet.net.tr" in the "istabip.org.tr" zone. It
appears to be fixed now.

named caches the fact that the name "nydns0.ops.about.com" has no
A record. It still doesn't.

NS records must point to canonical names, not aliases, according to the
RFC's. Apparently someone is being naughty.

Isn't it self-explanatory? It appears that one of the nameservers for
doctorium.com is not answering and the other is answering only
non-authoritatively. Thus they are all "lame".

For future reference, you can find descriptions of most BIND messages at
