What's needed to change primary dns to one with new domain name?

Hi,

I have an unusual problem not sure of what it involves to deal with, so
greatful if someone could help me a bit with some info here. Ten months
ago I inherited my Internet server from a freind with about 10 different
virtual domains (including my own) and have run it since then. However
this is and have always been one annoying havoc I havn't been able (and
not got the time for) to deal with: The primary domain (aka - the pimary
dns) is registered to (and owned by - I suppose) his company and I can't
just easy "take it over" (infact it's imposible as its a .se domain).
But for many reasons I would like the Pri-dns be changed to be one fully
controled by me. How to get along? Have seached achives and read alot,
both online and offline (o'reilly - DNS and BIND) but havn't been able
to figure out a the (safe) way to do this. I just don't wanna go along
experimenting as this may could cause inconsistences for my hosted
domains.

Questions that puzzles me is like if I need to get some specific "NIC
handle" from Internic etc.? Can I possibly setup the new primary
"paralell" with the old, sharing the same IP? - it got to be on the same
IP.

There is also two scenarios I'm thinking about. One is to use one of my
own domains now living as "Virtual" and the second (most wanted) is to
transfer a .com domain I currently have hosted on an other server (not
run by me). A third alternative could ofcause be to register a new
domain.

/Joakim
