The same way as you should do it on any other BIND platform: 
	ndc dumpdb

And if someone's running ancient code that doesn't have ndc, they'd
better upgrade!

Try pp302-306. I just looked up "dump" in the index when there was
nothing appropriate under the index entry for "cache".

Just because you've zapped the name doesn't mean it has gone. There's
nothing stopping someone adding an NS/CNAME/MX/etc record pointing at
barge.mcs.anl.gov in their zone files, even if that name doesn't exist.
