Need SRV details

Dear all,
	
	Can SRV record use with servers which provide SMTP service ?
	I configured it like this
	
smtp.tcp	IN	SRV	0 	5	25	post1 
		IN	SRV	0 	1	25	post2
		IN	SRV	0 	1	25	post3 
post1		IN	A	10.10.2.1
post2		IN	A	10.10.2.2
post3		IN	A	10.10.2.3

When I test it by using "telnet smtp 25" , it does not work as I neeed (
each host did not handle connections as I configure ).

Could you please tell me more details about SRV and any important points
which I should notice ?
