MacOS 9 Dynamic DNS Update

We're having this problem on our domain and I'm not sure how it *should*
work but I think I figured out how to turn it off. It's part of the
file-sharing on OS 9. There is an option to share dir's over tcp/ip. when
this is activated it attempts to put a record(presumibly ldap SRV records)
to point to the shared dir's from the mac. As long as the filesharing
through tcp/ip is off our mac's have stopped for now.
