True, but AIX 3.2.5 is really, *really* old. Like 5 years at least (?). We
still have some 3.2.5 around here, I think, but no-one is compiling programs to
run on them. They're just gateway machines running on "autopilot" until they
are either physically replaced or until their software needs to be upgraded, at
which time we'll go through the trouble of upgrading the OS as well. I don't
like constantly having to upgrade WinTel OS'es any more than you do, but trying
to keep old, buggy, primitive Unix-like OS'es running long after the vendor has
dropped support for them is rarely cost-effective either, unless you're running
some sort of interactive museum.
