Logging Query Question

Greetings all,

	First question is how can you tell if debugging is turned on?  I did
an ndc -d start.  It seems to run ok, but the log file that is defined in
named.conf is not getting written to.  I used the same syntax from the
O'reilly Bind book, however I did change the logfile name.  I also have a
directory directive, does it put the logfile in this directory.  Please
help, as I would like to log querries that being sent to my server.
