Forwarding?

Im not sure if this is possible, but just wondering..

Is it possible to say setup bind 9.* to do forwarding on sub domains, im not
quite sure what this would be called..

but say i didnt have the subdomains 'test' in my domain record, but a user
typed in 'test.this.com' and it would forward to 'www.this.com'

is that possible?

is there a generic 'sub-domain' command to allow this type of
forwarding/lookup?
