How to get verbose logging ?

Hello,

We are in the process of upgrading a low traffic server from bind 8.x to
9.1.0 (came with RedHat 7.1).

The server work well but we can't see the verbose logging messages we got
used to and love so much. This include xfer notifications, xfers, reloading
of zone files, etc.

How exactly get we get back these messages (in the syslog file
/var/log/messages) ?

Our named.conf contains the following:

logging {

  channel my_channel {
    syslog daemon;
    print-time yes;
    print-category yes;
  };

  category default { my_channel; };
};
