Yes, but it looks as if "ab.ca" is in the "ca" zone. i.e. No
records exist for ab.ca only for subdomains. This doesn't affect
you, but it does mean all these zones are delegated from the
"ca" servers.

I doubt it, zones are zones, you'll have to take it up with the
people running the "ca" zone, or tell us the name.
