DNS & MS 2000

your win2000 machine is trying to make 'dynamic' updates to your DNS server.
go to yout tcp/ip settings;  advanced, and untick 'register this connection's address in DNS'
should sort out your problem.

i *do* hope that you've upgraded your server since 1996 though ... :)
