So that means either the name server you're running doesn't like RP
records or else the RP record's entry in the zone file has a syntax
error. These errors will be logged. What do the name server's logs
say? Have you read them?

There is no point commenting on the RP records you presented. These
are obviously not what is in the zone file you give to your name
server. If you want more help, kindly make sure what the list sees is
*exactly* what your name server sees. Would you try to buy something
in a shop with a drawing you've made of a banknote instead of the real
thing? Why do people persist with this mydomain.com crap instead of
providing the real information?

Oh and stop using nslookup. Consult the list archives for the reasons
why. Use a decent lookup tool like dig.

PS: BIND8.1.2 has security holes. Upgrade.
