How to configure dns with NAT between external and internal network

You can do it either way. In some ways it's easier to have a totally
separate domain name for internal vs. external DNS, otherwise you may
have to end up defining the internal entries in *both* DNS'es, for the
benefit of firewalls and other schizophrenic devices. On the other hand,
having multiple domain names for internal vs. external may make an
unmanageable mess of your SMTP infrastructure, your HTTP proxy
infrastructure, etc. It really depends on your environment and your
requirements.
