4000 entries problem

Hi,

I use bind 8.2.4, which works fine when I put approx 100 entries for
1 domain, but it fails with approx 4000 entries and send no
error-message.

any idea of what happens ?? 
I've read that there's no limit but memory, and I haven't got any
problem this side.
