Let's review. On Wed, 05 Sep 2001 21:49:29 GMT, "Larry
Dalrymple" <admin at enforcerz.net> asked:

	At Wed, 5 Sep 2001 16:17:02 -0700, Pete Ehlke <pde at ehlke.net>
gave the rather flippant response:

> According to your whois information, you live in Nova Scotia.
> mydomain.net is in Los Gatos, California. Why would you want to
> try to point mydomain.net, which you do not own, to your own box?

On Wed, 5 Sep 2001 16:41:54 -0700, "JOHNSON, ERIK *Internet*
(PBI)" <erjohnson at pbi.net> came back with:

> Uh, Pete, I think mydomain.net is a hypothetical term.
>
> Does anyone know the answer to this because I'd like to know, as well.

	Then, at Thu, 6 Sep 2001 01:58:32 +0200, I said:

	To which you replied.

I still submit that to properly answer the question, we need to
know the real name of the domain being discussed, so that we can look
at it from the outside and see if there is anything happening with it
that might require a different answer.

I agree with Kevin Darcy <kcd at daimlerchrysler.com>, that we
should not be coming back with flippant responses like Pete did,
because it just muddies the question and doesn't really help solve
the problem.

However, I agree with Pete's general approach that there just
really isn't much sense in even trying to answer most questions
unless people give us real domain names (and whatever other
information is necessary) to begin with, and I am also getting very
tired of having to continually repeat this position.
