caching-only bind9 vs. bind8

Hi all,

 

I have read some messages about the performance of bind9 vs. bind8 for
non-caching-only installations and a message showing that bind 8.3.0 is
twice as fast when compared to 9.x.

Does this mean we should avoid, for the moment, bind9 for high-load
caching-only installations too?
