Problem with BIND 9.2.1 Logging

My problems with syslog and BIND 9.2.1 that I posted yesterday were
due mainly to a misunderstanding on my part.  I was expecting that when
I did an "rndc reload" I would see a message when the DNS server was
ready to answer queries, as I saw with this BIND 8.2.5-REL message:

      Ready to answer queries.

I guess that this message is not produced in BIND 9.x.
I will cover the other problems I am having with 9.2.1 in separate
postings (with different subject lines).
