Report of Abnormal Program Termination

This exact problem has been reported before (using BIND 8.2.4). There
is no resolution as yet. However, since BIND 9.2.0 is now available you
should try the dnssec-keygen program to generate the key. Note that
keys are not dependent on the list of hosts in either HOSTS, LMHOSTS
(and note that the LMHOSTS.SAM is just a sample file, WIndows looks for
LMHOSTS if it uses it at all) or BIND zones.

The correct place to report BIND 8 and associated program problems is
bind-bugs at isc.org.
