LAN hostname resolves to 64.94.110.11

That's sitefinder-idn.verisign.com.  A couple of weeks ago Verisign added a
wildcard record to the .COM and .NET domains, so that any time you enter a
nonexistent domain in a web browser you'll be redirected to their search
engine.

If you're seeing this for your local host names, something is wrong with
your resolver configuration or domain registration.  There is no
"mylandomainname.net" domain registered.
