inbound problem with one site

I've been troubleshooting a problem with ekit.com.  I can do all types 
of queries to their site but all they can get from me is NS records. 
The result is that mail from here is refused since they can't resolve 
us.  They claim it is our provder's problem which is fine, but I need to 
prove that if it's to go anywhere.  I'd appreciate any help finding this 
proof or proof of something else.

I have used dig with other sites' name servers and don't have any 
trouble finding any type of RR and no one else is complaining.  Here is 
the response from their technical support:

...We write in reference to your recent difficulty with sending emails 
to your grandson's ekit email address.

Upon further investigation from our technical department, we found out 
that the DNS servers for the domain allegheny.edu are not reachable for 
some reason. Our sites are reachable from various places in the USA. 
There appears to be a routing problem in alltel.net preventing
communication between eKit and allegheny.edu
