named crashing on AIX5.3 on startup

Which compiler did you use on AIX 4.3, 5.1, and 5.2 ? I have the same 
problem on those, but didn't try AIX 5.3. Compiling without -O2 seems to 
help, but performance seems a lot worse. I compiled with gcc-3.3.2-4 
from the AIX Linux Toolbox. I am still planning to try with gcc-3.3.2-5 
from the same source. I don't quite accept the compiler/-O2 excuse, 
because BIND 9.2.5 never had a similar problem.
