Sub-domain lookups

Hi,

     I have a bind-8.1.2 on HP-UX 11.11 that is serving DNS for domain1.com.  This box is also a 
secondary for domain2.com.  Domain2 has severall sub-domains.  I can look up 
<anything>.domain2.com from domain1.com.  However, I cannot resolve <anything>.<sub-
domain>.domain2.com.  Domain2.com is W2K3.

     Do I need to explicitly code the sub-domains for domain2.com in my named.conf for
domain1.com?
