That error comes from dig is unable to find the address for
'astro1.kean.edu'. According to my experience, a3.nstld.com should include
a glue record in additional section for that server, to eliminate
ambiguity in name resolution.
I did the same test, and I got the glue records from that server. I tried
with trace and everything worked fine. I don't have any further clue about
it.
