Dear All,

I have very new to Bind and it's configurations but I am trying to understand it better in the days ahead.

I have just installed Bind-9.4.0 on a Debian 3.1. At first, I used the following compilation options:

- --prefix=/usr \
- --sysconfdir=/etc/namedb \
- --mandir=/usr/share/man \
- --localstatedir=/var \
- --disable-threads \

However, even after I tried using just ./configure, I am still seeing the logs below:

process `dig' is using obsolete setsockopt SO_BSDCOMPAT
process `named' is using obsolete setsockopt SO_BSDCOMPAT

I have googled about it but I am a bit puzzled. Can somebody please shed some light on it?

Thanking you.
