Strange: My Bind (8.4.6) freezes randomly

I have a similar problem with  9.2.6-P2....

By the way, it is strongly recommended to run Linux 2.6 on Debian
stable, together with BIND 9.

We haven't been clear on the BIND 9 part, I suppose.  I'll see if we can
add something to the release notes for etch.
