Bind Crashing on Domain Transfer

My Bind seems to crash randomly, and with some debugging advice I
got off this list I think I know when it's crashing (still don't
know why).

I have a DDNS zone on my primary server that gets updated all the
time (every 5 or 10 seconds). This triggers a notify to my secondary
server and it transfers the zone. It does this all day long, 3000
times in the last 6 hours.

Randomly bind the bind process will stop, and leave the pid file in
place. About 3 minutes later my pager goes off saying DNS is down on
my secondary server. Everytime this happens and I check the logs I see:

30-Jan-2008 00:52:24.699 notify: info: client xx.xx.xx.xx#32820:
received notify for zone 'xxxxxx.web-ster.com'
30-Jan-2008 00:52:24.700 general: info: zone xxxxxx.web-ster.com/IN:
Transfer started.
30-Jan-2008 00:52:24.701 xfer-in: info: transfer of
'xxxxxx.web-ster.com/IN' from xx.xx.xx.xx#53: connected using
xx.xx.xx.xx#56021

It attempts to connect to my primary and that's all she wrote! I'm
not sure why this would fail when it works so many thousands of
other times. Is there another way to debug this issue I'm not aware of?
