no glue A record in child domain

Hello gurus,

Say I have this glue record in parent's DNS:

child.example.com.  IN NS  ns.child.example.com.
ns.child.example.com. IN A  12.34.56.78

Then in child's zone file, I don't include the A record for  "ns.child.example.com.".

What will be happened? Does it affect client's query to other records in this child domain?
