I see that "options no-check-names" was introduced to the resolver in 8.2. Was name checking introduced to the resolver then, too, or had it been there for some time without a way to turn it off? (I seem to remember some name checking messages from BIND 4.9.x resolvers, but I could be wrong.) cricket
