It's only dependancy is RFC1035, so in fact, it could have moved forward
already. That might in fact be necessary if rfc403x (DNSSEC) want to
advance and they reference EDNS no doubt.
Advancing documents is still on the agenda for the not-really-existing
dnsext WG, I think.
