On shutting down this list

Hi,

(sorry for breaking thread, I wasn’t subscribed to the lists)

let me reiterate what Vicky already said - we are going to shut down this list.

Most if not all of the topics discussed here could be freely discussed on
the bind-users mailing lists and also the topics discussed here would be
useful to the users of the bind-users mailing list where the audience is
much wider (exactly 2340 extra email addresses).

It is also unclear what topics belong here and what topics belong to the bind-users
and with the low volume of the emails here, it’s just extra burden with no extra value.

I would suggest anybody who’s not already on the bind-users mailing list (about 350
email out of 534) and wants to keep receiving emails to subscribe to bind-users.

We are going to shutdown this list pretty quickly given the generally low traffic here.

Also we would appreciate if things like this:

https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/bind-workers/2022-January/003573.html

would be reported and tracked as issues in the GitLab, so we (the ISC team)
don’t have to scrape the mailing lists for the bug reports and can directly interact
in the issue tracker with the reporter instead of going back and forth between
the issue tracker and the mailing lists.

Thanks,
Ondrej
