I've checked in a discussion starting point in the form of a header
file. It's not complete -- it will be changed as discussion proceeds
and as I try to write compilable code based on this.

It's under experiments/graff-ccapi/

Some notes and questions:

I am using a tag/value pair I wish the value could be generic, but
it will probably have to grow a pile of fooValue() functions to return
various types of type-cast values.

I am wondering why I'm not using XML here. After all, I tell people to
use XML when it will work -- and yet I find myself writing my own
tag/value tree based system. Perhaps using libxml2 (for C/C++) and
whatever native XML DOM parsers exist for other languages, and just
using pre-written tree-walking code is best?

I am moving away from using XMPP. I think it's too complicated for what
we need, and rolling our own based upon the openreg project's work is
best. It's simple code, and I think it'll work well, and it fits into
how I envision us using this thing.
